We will shoot your outdoor session either right after sunrise (summer time 7:30am) or a few hours before sunset (summer time 6:30/ 7pm). Why? Because the best available light is right after sunrise and before sunset. If you have to have a mid day session, let me know and will work to find a location that best blocks overhead harsh sunlight. Please keep in mind lighting makes all the differeance in your images.

How long is my photo session?

This depends on what type of session you have. Newborn session - 2-4 hours Babies / Children - 45- 90 mins Senior sessions - 1-2 hours Family sessions - 1-2 hours Couples sessions - 1-2 hours

What if it rains or there is no sunset?

If there is rain in the forecast we will see if it's worth waiting out the weather. Some days may only have an afternoon shower, so we may not need to reschedulel your session. If the day is a wash out we would reschedule to the best available date that works for the both of us. If you really wanted that sunset/golden hour session and its an overcast sky we can reschedule or move forward with your session. Cloudy and overcast days create great lighting and images too!

What if I am sick or my child is sick?

If anyone is sick, we will reschedule your session. Your deposit will transfer to another date if this should ever happen.

What should I wear or what should my family wear?

I want your photos to represent you, so choose flattering clothes that feels the best on you. When working in the studio with toddlers and children we have lots of neutral and colorful backdrops available to coordinate with your clothing, so go bold or classic. For groups, I would suggest choosing a color pallet and have everyone wear something in those colors. Try to stay away from large bold prints, words on shirts and large logos. Pinterest has many great ideas to help coordinate family outfits for family photos. High school seniors, be you! We do unlimited outfit changes. This is all about you so choose a laid back casual outfit, something more dressy or even your prom or homecoming dress. If you play sports are in the band and want to have your uniform in your session we can do that too! Newborn sessions, babies will be mainly in their birthday suit! We will provide all the props, outfits, and wraps for your baby. If you have an outfit or prop that you would like to bring you are more then welcome to! Parents and siblings, if you plan to be in any of the photos during your newborn session I would recommend very neutral colors. I always use a soild neutral colored backdrop for these images and soft, soild, light textures is best to wear.
